The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) was established as a non-profit organization in 1955. As international umbrella association WUWM unites the world’s most important centres of fresh produce and actively promotes a mutual exchange.
Currently the World Union represents over 160 markets from 39 countries.

CROSS-BORDER EXCHANGES 
By organizing congresses, meetings, reports and studies on a variety of topics, the association aims to inform its members and, above all: to inspire them. Offering an authoritative point of contact, WUWM assists markets seeking advice on the topics of market establishment, organization and management, and promotes dialogue between the appropriate layers of responsibility. In addition WUWM helps its members to offer their goods at competitive prices and maintain high quality standards. Once a year visitors from all over the world come to WUWM: members gather to attend talks and discussion meetings where they explore developments in the industry.
